My creative process revolves around creating art that elicits physiological and social responses, by capturing a person’s attention and moving him or her emotionally. While I appreciate the inherent beauty in art, I try to go deeper to touch on things like nature, emotion, psyche, self, and even revolution. Most specifically, I gravitate towards darker aspects that challenge or even disturb the viewer, forcing them to wrestle with the message behind the piece.

 

The driving force behind my practice is a strong desire to grow. I always seek out new experiences and art forms to test the limits of my art and transform myself as an artist. One aspect of my work is entirely digital, where I use Procreate to illustrate and creative coding for my more interactive works. I am also venturing into 3D modeling in Maya and have background knowledge in graphic design, metalsmithing, and other forms of traditional art. I believe that different mediums have different ways of presenting concepts, and I want to explore how those ways blend with each other.

 

In my art, I like to defy the status quo by creating works that are visually appealing and command attention. Whether it's illustrations that blend the lines of digital and physicality or interactive projects, with my work I seek to tell deeper narratives that draw on the themes we all share on a personal level, but universally.
